- Caption "Kaffir-plum trees with top bent over by the prevailing wind from the sea just west of Igoda R. on road to Kidds Beach from East London. The land around them had recently been cleared of surround bush above which the canopy of the Kaffir-plum protected, see below. The trunk must have grown up straight to the light and then been bent when growing above the surrounding bush canopy. Aug. 1958."
