- Description
- "When you have a special kind of relish and you put salt in it, you say it is very tasty indeed, and thank the cook." Salt is a rare commodity in the valley and is obtained with difficulty from the grasses growing near the hot springs. Consequently it is often reserved, they say, from special dishes of relish such as this tonkanono (whose indentity we were unable to establish). Mendicant's song with sound of feet and clapping.
