- This short song is used for waking up the people for their last meal-the second of the night during the fast of Ramadhan. The singers go around singing and playing the drum at about 1-2 a.m. It is a picturesque Swahili/Mohammedan custom. The to membranes of the bass drum are tuned to different notes.
