- Description
- For this address, I thought it would be appropriate to share information on the research into the physical activity, health and wellbeing of primary school children living in the Northern Areas and townships of Gqeberha – which formed part of the 10-year collaboration between the Department of Human Movement Science at Nelson Mandela University, the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health at the University of Basel and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, in Basel, Switzerland. Three large studies formed the core of the 10-year collaboration: the Disease, Activity and Schoolchildren’s Health (DASH) study, the KaziBantu Project and the KaziAfya study.
