- The singer addresses himself to the chiefs of the country asking for alms. Player holds a small rattle in his right hand, the stick of which strikes the gourd in order to create additional percussion. This same type of bow is called UKUBU by the HA and UGUBU by the Zulu. Fundamental notes of bow:- 288 and 720 vs. Medicant's song with musical bow, vertical, braced and gourd resonated.
