- Description
- "The child of Namwali will not sleep today. The child of an older woman, will not sleep today. Will not sleep today. I will 'wage war' at the end of the year." The words 'wage war' are a euphemism for the marriage bed. The song is a warning to a girl to 'go straight' and not to cheapen herself with men. The word 'Namwali' usually refers to a virgin. Chiponda dance with clapping and 3 drums.
