- The wife is singing to her husband. Lionde is the well-known ferry across the shire river, north of Blantyre on the main north road. It is above 100 miles from their village. The word Konsolo comes from the English word "Council" and was at the time in the 1930's considered a word of high praise for the most important people of the district. "I should have come with if only Lionde was near by. But because it is so far, I cannot come with you." Konsolo dance song with clapping.
