- "Tu shalala" is the expression of delight when someone looks in through the door and sees a pot full of good food cookign and anticipates the meal. The singer of these two songs, with his bow, is well known in the district as an entertainer and beggar. He remarks the end of the second tune that he was too tired to go on. His Chitende bow is virtually the same as the Zulu Makweyana. Here in Pedi country it is played by men while in Zululand it is played only by women, and occasionally by young herd boys. Minstrel song with Chitende braced bow, resonated.
