- When this item was recorded in 1949 cotton was a new crop which the authorities were encouraging the Chopi to grow. Depots for the collection and sale of cotton were set up throughout the district. It was one of the cash crops which helped to raise the local standard of living in Chopi countryside. Work song for carrying cotton to the depot.
