- The purpose of the research is to evaluate how the municipality and the business sector in George can work together for the future of George and to develop a proposal for such a strategic partnership. The goal of this research is to evaluate the current strategic partnerships within the town of George, to assess the readiness for a strategic partnership in the George region and to develop a theoretical model of how a town could partner with the business sector for inclusive economic growth, through the examination of the key success factors for such a partnership. This research provides useful insight into the factors that will contribute to a partnership between the business sector and local government ensuring the future of George. This research considers the current situation in George and proposes a cross-sector partnership approach to ensure not only city competitiveness but also further growth.
