- "People born in Uganda should love each other." The tuning with the Endongo lyre in the order of strings from lowest to highest in position of playing is as follows:- 448, 528, 592, 264, 224, 340, 296, 404. The lyre is held with the strings horizontal with the left hand plucking from above, the right hand from below. The order of strings is irregular, but traditionally constant in their placing. Topical song, with Endongo bowl lyre with 8 strings, Ndingidi one string bowed lute, and one Ntenga conical drum, laced, single.
