- The singer (believed to be a coloured woman) changed the tune to a European one half way through.Her baby co-operated well. This tune was sung by a woman in traditional costume... The same baby, held in its mother's arms, was too charmed by the song to cry, so had to be tickled and patted by its mother into co-operation. Lullaby.
