The woman leading this song was pleased at the long final note of the song being recorded and said "This thing (i.e. the loud speaker) kept up with me the whole way. The people of this district are actually Fingo or Mfengu but speak Ngqika. Their ancestors were refugees from Shaka and came here from Swaziland over 120 years ago. The song is sung before initiation, when the young man is old enough to undergo his ordeal. Circumcision song with clapping.
